Children's Group
Volunteer: The Family Support Center offers
children’s groups both in house and in the community. These
groups consist of anger management within Chippewa Falls Middle
School, weekly programming through Badger Land Youth Services, and an
on-going support group for children affected by domestic violence.
Our children’s support group covers a variety of topics. A
volunteer would assist with preparing activities, facilitating
groups, and other agency tasks. Volunteers’ active involvement
in this program will enhance the lives of children affected by
domestic violence.
Child Care for the
Women’s Support Group: The Family Support Center offers a
women’s support group for women affected by domestic violence.
During this group, free child care is provided for the children. This
component allows for the women affected by domestic violence to
attend and receive support from others experiencing similar
situations. Volunteers may be asked to provide an activity for the
children. This position is supervised by the women’s support
group facilitator. Students may be assigned other agency
responsibilities per the facilitator.
Domestic Abuse/Sexual
Assault Advocate: Assist and empower individuals dealing with
domestic abuse or sexual assault. Volunteer is trained in the skills
of advocacy as well as community resources, and is supervised by

when staff is sick/unavailable. These would be daytime hours.
Volunteer may make a short or long term commitment.
Support Group
